History of the Diving Center
1963: Creation of the Center under the name " BARAKUDA CLUB CORFU" by Joachim Bergan. Manger Horst Leader (who later created the Poseidon Nemrod Club in Spain).
1964: The sailing school Barakuda is created in existance until 1982.
1970: Rolf Weyler becomes manager of " BARAKUDA CLUB CORFU".
1972: The center becomes a training center for diving instructors.
1973: Diving ship “Barakuda III” is built.

1973: The show “Diving Odyssee” is brought to life.
1974: The center becomes a scientific center of the development and testing of diving equipment under the direction of Dr. Max Hahn.
1975: “Barakuda IV” is built. Sold 1978.
1979: Rolf Weyler takes over control of the center from Fo Barakuda.
1984: The center changes name to “Corfu Diving”.
1985: Corfu Diving becomes the first VDST-MTA center. From 1988 Various diving instructors exams from the Nahanal Union of the VDST.
2000: Dr. Max Hahn has a fatal accident in Biggestausee. Corfu diving organizes the first burial at sea at the Odysseus reef.
2004: The VDST National Exams for Diving instructors */** take place.
2004: Corfu Diving becomes the Educational center of European Diving Union.
Rolf Weyler & Spiro Nick Psailas
2005: Mr Makris Spiridon, director of faculty, retires, withdraws and his place is taken by Spiridon ( Spiro) Nikolaos Psailas, instructor EOYDAATK/ CMAS, IANTD.
2007: K/Corfu Diving becomes a diving school of IANTD, therefore it is activated in the technical diving as well.
2009/10: Corfu Diving celebrates 40 YEARS of diving in Greece.
